Microwave Bake Apples
First of all.....thanks to so many people that have encouraged me to get Oliver Designs going. I have items posted in my Etsy shop and I'll be posting more new items tomorrow. My shop address is:
Onto other matters: I wanted to make an apple dessert last week but had very little time. I'm in the mood for Fall! I tried this recipe out and everyone liked it! Here is the recipe!
Microwave Baked Apples
4 Large baking apples
1/4 C. packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp. raisins or chopped nuts
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. butter, cut into 4 chunks
Core apples and peel skin from top. In small dish, combine brown sugar, raisins or nuts, and cinnamon. Stuff apples with equal amount of mixture. Dot top of each apple with 1 chunk of butter. Arange apples in 9 inch square baking dish. Cover with plastic wrap. Microwave on high for 7 to 9 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes. Just before serving, spoon juices from bottom of baking dish over apples.
I did not use raisins - I used chopped walnuts. I also served with apple with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

While we're on the topic of Fall here are a few cute pictures from this past month!

Sounds so good. I will try it this week.
