If You're happy and you know it....then be happy!

As you may know this transition into life without teaching has been really hard. It's been hard because I like those concrete challenges, I like knowing I'm making a difference, I like building relationships with co-workers. I "like" all of that but as time has gone by a full-time teaching position within a healthy environment has not come my way since our move to Michigan. While I never envisioned my life would be where it is right now, I'm actually happy!

I'm realizing that we will always be going through different seasons in life. If we don't take each season at it's best our life will fly by with many regrets. At this point in my life I get to volunteer at our local pregnancy services and interact with our Lansing community, I get to give my kid a hug when he needs one, I get to share my love for music with 19 amazing piano students, I get to serve our community and my church by leading our worship team and co-leading Kid Zone. I'm doing things that I really feel God has directed me to.

It's awesome to know that no matter what "season" we're in if we look for it we can find happiness. I won't lie, this is a crazy journey I'm on but I know I'm going somewhere. I know because I'm falling more in love the the Lord and... I'm happy (most days...hee hee)!
