Filled with Faith
Picture of Anderson...just because he's cute!
This past week Mark and I attended our district Pastor and Spouses retreat. It was actually really relaxing this year and our speaker, Dr. David Graves was awesome! The Lord really used Him to minister to us and refresh us. David was preaching about asking God to fill us with His grace and faith. This is something that I've really been striving for so I was very intrigued by what he had to say and really felt God speaking to me.
I know that a lot of times I say that I'm a Christian but I ask myself, "Do people that don't know me see that I'm a Christian?" No...I'm not talking about standing on the side of the road shouting at people but seriously I can be the one who gets mad at the return desk at Target because they won't give me a full refund because I didn't have my receipt. Yeah...I've embarrassed Mark before...can anyone relate?
Anyway...I've really felt the Lord encouraging me to live displaying more of His grace. So...I was in Wal-Mart the other day at the self check out lane and another customer yelled, "Hey...I need help over here NOW" at the checkout clerk. The poor girl went over there and nicely helped the customer. I went up to the checkout clerk and I said, "I noticed she didn't treat you very nicely and I just want you to know that I appreciate you being here to help." She looked like she might pass out because someone was nice to her.
Now...this was easy to do,took about thirty extra seconds, and I was able to show a tiny glimpse of God's grace to the checkout clerk that day.
