How my life has changed...
So since I've become a "stay at home" mom some things have really changed. Before I share that I would just like to say I don't know why we are called "stay at home" moms because I feel like I'm never at home. It seems that most moms are in the same boat...why can't we be called "on the go" mom's or "women trying to chase down a moment of sanity" moms. That probably wouldn't work...I'm seriously going to come up with a different title though!
Anyway...my husband said he would start grocery shopping while I taught piano lessons. I found this very sweet and considerate. So I sent him to the grocery store and later opened the cupboards to find the biggest thing of velvetta cheese I've ever seen and frozen rolls that I have never seen. I realized I needed to be very specific about my grocery list. So...my last grocery list looked something like this:
yogurt for Anderson, small container without a lot of sugar and cheap
It went on this way and I even wrote what to get generic and name brand. This is not a slam against my husband...I just think it's crazy how much women can lock into their brains and not realize it.
Another part of my life that has changed is entering the world of baby toys. I suddenly find myself singing: strum the guitar and play with play count your numbers 1, 2, 3. Yeah..nice! Oh well...I could have other things playing in my mind I guess!
I have to say that I am loving beginning to be a "stay at home" mom...even though I don't always stay at home!
