I am deeply in love with Jesus.

I lam humbled by the fact that He died for each of us out of complete desperation and LOVE. I love that His grace is sufficient for us and that His power is made perfect in our weakness. Maybe our weakness is because we are overwhelmed and can not handle everything or maybe our weakness is because circumstances are out of our control. Either way, it is His power that is made perfect by our weakness. That is one of the reasons I find myself so deeply in love with the Lord and humbled to be His servant.

I was reading in Psalm 119 this week and found a section talking about loving what God requires. Psalm 119 has had deep meaning to me for years. Guiding us to walk in the ways of the Lord and live a life of surrender.

"I will raise my hands to Your commands, which I love, and I will fix my mind on what You require." Psalm 119:48

As I read this verse I asked myself, "What does God require?" I prayed and listened and this is what I felt prompted to list:

-Integrity
-Honesty
-Loyalty
-Devotion
-Kindness
-Love and Compassion
-Truth
-Discipleship (responding to His call)
-Holiness (giving all of ourselves to Him)
-Trust (because He is capable)
-Honor
-Rest in Him
-Seek His face
-That He may have all of us and that we may not give one piece of ourselves to anything else.

To some this may look like a random list but to me it looks like a miniscule list of the amazing ways I can fall more in love with the Lord. You see, it is not about "doing" the right things it is about "giving" away more of ourselves. As I trust the Lord I love Him more because His unfailing love washes over me. As I disciple those around me I become more accountable to God in my choices and in turn love his commands because they guide me day to day.

We try to fill up our lives with so many "things" and still feel empty. If we would only stop and begin to ask God what "things" we should give to Him he would fill us to overflowing.

I am deeply in love with the Lord because I am allowing Him to mold me and guide me.  I am giving Him my daily battles. I am trusting Him and He answers. He holds my hand as I take joy in His commands and what He requires.

I am deeply in love with Jesus, are you?
