Calm all your fears
I hope each of you had a delightful Christmas! My family certainly had a wonderful time of thanking the Lord for this great year, eating lots of food, playing, and even a bit of reading!
Today I came across some wonderful bible versus I wanted to share with you. Sometimes when my routine changes (such as two weeks off at Christmas) I find myself reflecting too much about my life. I become fearful that I'm not at the right place in my life (not teaching) or that something terrible is going to happen. I think it's because I actually have time to sit down and think and then my mind goes crazy. I have learned that I need to fill my mind with scripture and hold onto my faith in the Lord because I do believe that I am in the center of His will! So...here are a couple of versus I found today (both from the NLT) that I wanted to share with you...and a few Christmas pics of my little man!
"For the Lord your God is living AMONG you! He is a mighty Savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With all his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs." Zephaniah 3:17
"But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit." Jeremiah 17:7-8 (I found this encouraging - if we stay strong in God no drought or worries can overcome us!)
Now onto some pictures of two of the most handsome boys I know...
