Listen
I'm taking some time to rest in the Lord this morning. I need to stop. As I have been praying I've been sensing the Lord saying, "Take time to listen to me. Be careful to not get so caught up in the hectic culture of life that you get off course. If you get off course you are going to miss the abundant blessings I have for you and settle for less."
I read from My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers this morning and he says this, "There is actually only one thing you can dedicate to God, and that is your right to yourself. If you will give God your right to yourself, He will make a holy experiment out of you - and His experiments always succeed."
Romans 12:1 says, "Brothers and sisters, in light of all I have shared with you about God's mercies, I urge you to offer your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice to God, a sacred offering that brings Him pleasure; that is your reasonable, essential worship."
I don't want to get off course. I yearn and desire for my life to be completely His. I encourage those around me frequently to line themselves up with God each day. This is the reason why - so we are sensitive to God's direction. So we can hear Him say, "Be careful my child - don't drift away from me."
Where are you today? Are you drifting off course? Listen - His gentle spirit longs for us to relinquish the right to ourselves and become a holy experiment filled with bountiful blessings, guidance, and direction in His name.
