It's quite simple...
I've recently been blogging about some of the ways I have grown in my walk with the Lord. This past weekend I was at something called a Holiness Summit. There were several different speakers all with a common theme of Holiness. As I was intently listening I found myself praying, "Lord, each day I feel you flowing through me to live this way but sometimes it seems so complicated."
I don't know about you but I think sometimes we humans tend to complicate things. A simple project for our kids turns into a HUGE project that results in frustration. A small idea turns into a commitment to take leadership of the ENTIRE concept...not just have an idea. A small comment becomes a LOUD voice mulling over and over in our mind....unbeknownst to the other party. The desire for a church, bible study, etc. to prosper and grow but FEELING like we can't do any more than we're doing.
I was spending some quiet time alone in prayer and the Lord gave me the prayer, "Simplicity." I pray that I would not make living a holy life complicated but that I would "simply" allow God to pour his holiness into me and that I would live it out. It really is just that, simple.
Last night in my bible study I read this bible verse and the Lord reminded me again, "Simplicity."

"But he's already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women. It's quite SIMPLE: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, and don't take yourself too seriously - take God seriously." Micah 6:8 (MSG)
